Ron graduated from Queen's University with his economics degree in 1980, and from the University of Western Ontario, with his bachelor of laws degree in 1984. After working at a Bay Street "Boutique" insurance defence litigation firm for 3 years, Ron joined this firm, becoming senior litigation partner in 1995.
